Building Energy Management: Experiment and Simulation

Energy modelling of residential building:

Our aim is to calculate the optimum energy requirement of a certain building under climate, number of occupants and HVAC and compare with actual data. We conduct the project under Dr. Bade Mukund and Dr. Krupesh Chauhan. With the learning of analysis, we would develop and suggest location condition specific HVAC design and focus on curtaining the losses of energy usage, so to join with the aim of Paris Report 2016.

Hierarchical Clustering algorithm for India Climate Study: A case study

Climate Zoning of India using Clustering algorithm Performed climate zoning of India using Hierarchical Clustering algorithm for design of energy efficient building. This project is conducted with guidance of Prof B.M.H, Boiler lab. Our solution taken by parameters Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed and Solar irradiation for clustering using ward’s method.

Waste heat recovery from slag of steel plant: For presentation

Waste Heat: Worked on designing of the system for using the waste slag in two ways as a source of energy (800°C) second as raw material for road construction. This project was done at Prof. P.V. Bhale Renewable Energy lab.

Design of Solar thermal battery: A case study for project proposal

Worked on thermal heat battery design and analysis using Lauric acid as PCM in COMSOL This was an effort to implement solar thermal battery in residential space for heating water.

Exergy Analysis of a Spray Dryer for Effluent Management : Analytical and Modelling

Worked on calculating irreversible losses of spray dryer. The main aim was to make this process economically feasible. This project was done under Prof. Bade Mukund and Scholar Sanjay Patel.

Parametric analysis of Solar chimney: Modelling

Solar chimney power generation: Analysis of solar chimney by studying of its performance by varying different parameters and later on classifying only critical variables.

Solar assisted desiccant drying system, humidity driven: Modelling and Experiment

Developed the algorithm of solar desiccant drying for agriculture crops on MATLAB and will use it for deciding parameters of design of dryer for specific crops. The system was designed for drying of crops in developing countries tasks which is normally spoiled due to excess of moisture during storage.

Submitted patent entitled “Corrosion repairing bot with resin adhesive manual control ” with Dr. H.Dave and Team at Patent Office, Mumbai. Ref. No. E-12/51/2007- MUM, Application no. 386/MUM/2007, under review
